I even blew out the old 'DisabledArchiveGUID' just in case that was hanging onto something old. I also compared the users mailbox to my own (Get-Mailbox -Identity | select *), but everything matches. This unfortunately had zero effect on the problem, exact same issue presented.

Ok, so further developments after attempting to move the user's mailbox as well as archive to different databases. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so have you found a solution that doesn't involve rebuilding the user in the AD/Exchange? I feel like I've exhausted all research options, I've been working on this for a few days on & off. I'm somewhat loath to try and nuke/rebuild the users account in the AD/Exchange as they have a very busy mailbox (it's a Production Manager's account), it would have to be a last resort.

I've tested this on my own AD account, and I can search through my mailbox's online archive via Outlook (same version of MS365 as user having issues). Note that (so far) it's only happening to this one user, verified that multiple users are able to search this via Outlook without issue, in cached or un-cached mode. Verified Windows Search service is functioning, but should be irrelevant as from my research it appears that 'Online Archive' in Outlook doesn't cache locally even when profile set to cache - can anyone confirm?.Verified the user's mailbox configuration type is not set to 'shared' (it's 'regular').Used a secondary test computer with users AD account, installed fresh office, fresh local mail profile.

    Wiping out the local mail profile and rebuilding.Rebuilding indexes on all the exchange databases and letting them rebuild over the weekend (all report 'Healthy' for content index status before testing again).I've verified the search is able to work via OWA, but even after rebuilding the users local mail profile the 'Online Archive' is not searchable - 'Something went wrong' error comes up, and repeating the search locally returns no results. We've got a single user that's unable to search their online archive via Outlook (Microsoft 365 Enterprise, On-Prem Exchange 2016, single server).
